Sustainably Sweet Kickoff: Blueland Product Review

At Sweet Sensations, we believe that small changes can make a big difference, whether it’s giving back to our community or reducing waste by promoting clean kitchen products. With our Sustainably Sweet program, we will highlight eco-friendly products that make everyday life a little greener.

This is our very first article in the series, and we are starting off strong with a very popular clean brand that we have actually tried and loved: Blueland. Their cleaning and home products are designed to cut down on single-use plastic while still delivering the quality you expect from traditional brands. By sharing reviews like this, we hope to inspire our community to make simple swaps that are better for the planet, without sacrificing convenience, effectiveness, or style.

To keep our reviews fun, consistent, and easy to follow, we are also introducing the Sweet Standard—our personal rating system for each product based on three key factors:

Dishwasher Detergent Tablets

The dishwasher detergent tablets themselves come in a compostable bag, along with a sleek metal storage container that looks great on the counter or under the sink. The tablets work really well as every load of dishes come out sparkling clean, even with tougher spots like dried food on plates. I also love that they don’t have a strong scent, which is perfect if you are sensitive to fragrances. Additionally, the convenience of having pre-measured tablets makes running the dishwasher super easy, no mess, no measuring, just toss one in and you’re good to go!

Foaming Hand Soap 

This one is probably my favorite from all the products we tried. The foaming hand soap kit comes with a sturdy glass dispenser and two tablets in different scents. Both scents smelled fresh and clean without being overpowering. Setting it up was surprisingly easy: just fill the dispenser with water, drop in a tablet, wait about 10–15 minutes for it to fully dissolve, and it’s ready to use. The dispenser foams the soap beautifully, and the glass bottle feels really high quality while also being refillable, which makes me feel good about cutting down on plastic waste. Plus, the design is simple and elegant enough to match any bathroom or kitchen aesthetic.

Laundry Detergent Tablets

The laundry tablets also come with a metal storage container, which fits nicely next to the washer without taking up too much space. The tablets themselves are also super convenient as you don’t have to measure and spill liquid detergent everywhere anymore. I like that they don’t have a super strong scent, but the clothes still come out clean, fresh, and soft. It feels like a great balance: effective cleaning without all the extra chemicals and heavy perfumes you often get in other detergents.

Toilet Cleaner 

I wasn’t sure how well this one would work, but I was pleasantly surprised. The toilet cleaner comes with tablets and a metal container, just like the other products, making it very easy to store in your bathroom. The tablets fizz up nicely and do a great job of cleaning, leaving everything looking fresh and spotless. Best of all, there’s no harsh chlorine smell lingering afterward, which was my personal favorite part about this product. It’s quick, easy, and feels much safer to use than typical toilet cleaning products.

Aside from how well everything worked, I really loved the design. All the containers and dispensers have a clean, modern look, and the colors are super pretty. The foaming hand soap dispenser especially stands out because it’s simple, elegant, and versatile enough to fit into any space without clashing. Blueland makes it so much easier to switch to eco-friendly products without sacrificing quality. Everything I tried cleaned just as well (if not better) than traditional products, but with the added bonus of reducing waste and looking great in our home.
